Katie and Adrian have been together for many years, they have keys to each others homes and each others hearts. When Katie woke up on Valentines day morning, there was no question that her cupid had sneaked in.
That morning as she opened her shower door, sat an open card and a vase with a single red rose. Katie picked up the card, read the words and laughed and blushed at the same time. She went ahead and set the card on her bed and the awkward single rose and vase on her nightstand.
After her shower, Katie went to go pick out an outfit from her closet. When she opened the door she giggled again as on the shoe rack sat another card and rose. She went ahead and followed the same procedure as before and set the card aside and the rose in the vase.
By this point, Katie is calling Adrian to flirt and thank him for the cards and flowers. Adrian of course jested and asked how her morning is going. The two talked for awhile, set up a lunch date, and then hung up. As Katie continued to get ready and finish her morning routine, she continued to stumble over more cards and roses.
She'd find them everywhere! In the refrigerator, by the TV remote, even in her cereal box. Some were funny, some were sweet, and all were personal and from the heart.
After going through her daily routine, Katie couldn't decide which she found sweeter, that he was doing this for her or that he knew her so well. By the time Adrian was suppose to come by to take Katie out to lunch, she had found 11 roses and cards. Assuming that there was a arbitrary dozen, she kept an eye out as she couldn't think of anywhere else to look. "Maybe he forgot one, or put it in a bad spot." thought Katie.
At that moment she heard her front door lock being turned. She went to meet him at the door and was pleasantly surprised to see him standing with a card and a single long stem rose. She ran up for a hug and thanked him for the very loving valentines day surprise. After reading the final card, she completed her collage of cards and bouquet of roses. One dozen cards, one dozen roses, and one dozen smiles.
**Note: It is not necessary to follow all the directions as stated and are only explained as such for ease of use. Alterations to, or inspirations from, any romantic ideas are very welcome and encouraged.
1. Write out all of the cards beforehand. Some can be funny, some can be sweet, all from the heart.
2. Either when she isn't home or is asleep, sneak around the house and hide 11 cards and 11 roses in fun places you are positive she will find. Make sure the first set is somewhere she will see it almost immediately after she wakes up. Don't be afraid to get creative, it only makes it more fun! for example, if she uses a workout video every morning, hide the card inside the case and set the rose on top.
3. Once it's valentines day, she will probably call you upon finding her valentines surprise. If not, call her and let let her know you'll be stopping by.
4. Once you're confident she has all the cards and roses, go pay her a visit; rose and card in hand.
* You're done! Now you just got to hope she find them all!
