EYE SPY CHRISTMAS
a romantic christmas gift idea

It's Christmas morning and, as usual, Rob and Georgia are being woken up by their daughter and two younger sons so they can open the gifts Santa has brought them. Once everyone was situated around the tree, Georgia began handing out the gifts.

As she continued to sort, she eventually came to a very large, very heavy gift addressed to her. Nudging it aside with a looked of confused excitement, she finished handing out the presents. As all the gifts were passed out, together the family opened them. Hurrying to hers, Georgia began unwrapping the mysteriously heavy present.

Once bare, she opened the box to reveal what looked like only a collection of large tractor bolts and screws. She looked over at Rob, but he just grinned and told her to open her gift; jesting that maybe she had "made the naughty list this year."

Paying him no heed, Georgia went ahead and slowly poured out the remains of the box thinking perhaps Rob was just trying to be funny by putting her gift underneath the heavy mess. The children, now very attentive to what was going on, stopped opening their gifts and watched their mother.

As she'd predicted, at the very bottom of the box was a single envelope. When she opened the envelope however, she was again surprised by what seemed to be only a picture of THEIR Christmas tree. Upon closer inspection, she notice a sentence written out at the bottom in bold cursive. Eye spy... something that sparkles. A bit confused, she began searching through the picture of the Christmas tree. Then, she sees it!

She turns and sure enough, hanging from one of the center branches had all along been her gift. Without the ability to even fight back the smile, she removed the necklace that had ornamented the tree. The children laughed and marveled over the beautiful piece, and Rob smiled as he could see the joy in Georgia's eyes. Rob helped her put on the necklace and told her "merry Christmas" as the two embraced.

Georgia was complemented on her necklace so often, she still spoke about Christmas in February. It was no matter to her however, as she never grew tired of telling the story of her eye spy Christmas.
