Tiffany is just getting off work and heading home. She has a little more bounce in her step as she makes her way home as today is her birthday. Though she isn't expecting too much today as she is celebrating this weekend, she still can't wait to get home so she can get ready to go out to dinner with her boyfriend Steve. She calls to verify what time he'll be there to pick her up and he tells her around 7:00 p.m. After a bit of small talk, he wishes her a happy birthday and says he will see her soon.
By now Tiffany has pulled into her driveway and is opening her front door. Since she doesn't have much time, she takes a quick shower and starts getting ready. Once she's ready to pick out a dress, Tiffany goes to the closet.
She opens the door ready to walk in, but instead is surrounded by a stampede of balloons. Left and right an army of birthday balloons and a flood of colors engulf her. She blushes as she stands in her closet surround by Steve's sweet birthday surprise. As she is, she notices an envelope taped to the wall in front of her. She grabs it and reads the card inside.
"Hey honey! I couldn't wait until this weekend to wish you a happy birthday or give you your birthday gift! Can you guess where it is hiding?" Underneath the note was a needle taped to the card. She giggled as she removed the needle from the card and then hesitantly went toward the balloons. She popped her first balloon and jumped and laughed as she was showered in rose petals. She repeated this process over and over again and each time she was sprinkled with more rose petals until she finally heard a light jingle on the floor.
She looked down toward the floor and a unrestrainable smile broke on her face. As she picked up the shining piece, she held in her hand a beautiful pendant necklace. Once everything was done, she laughed, smiled, and took in the kind and loving thing Steve did for her that evening. That evening over dinner as the two enjoyed each others company, Steve couldn't help but notice that the only thing that shined brighter than the necklace was the person who was wearing it.
